Kanye West’s upcoming concert in South Korea has been officially canceled following a wave of backlash over his most recent controversies, including the release of a track titled “Heil Hitler.” The performance, originally scheduled for May 31, 2025, at Incheon Munhak Main Stadium, was expected to be one of the rapper’s biggest international shows in recent years.

Ticketing platform Interpark Global confirmed the cancellation, stating the decision was made due to “recent controversies involving the artist Kanye West (YE).” In an official message posted to its site, the company added: “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. All purchased tickets will be automatically canceled, and full refunds will be processed.”

The show was being organized by Coupang Play, the streaming arm of e-commerce company Coupang, which has also suspended sales of West’s Yeezy merchandise in the wake of the controversy. The company did not elaborate further, but the timing makes the reason clear.

The release and its fallout revived concerns about West’s behavior, which had already led to severe consequences in the past, most notably, Adidas cut ties with him in October 2022, ending their lucrative Yeezy partnership after a series of antisemitic remarks.

A Pattern Repeating

The cancellation comes just weeks after another headline-grabbing moment. In early May, West walked out of a scheduled appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored within minutes of sitting down. “You’re not gonna take inches off my di–, bro,” he said, before abruptly ending the interview. “I’m a gift, bro.”

In his brief comments before leaving the set, West compared his treatment in the media to the legacies of artists like John Lennon and Michael Jackson: “There’s so much love in the art that I put out,” he said. “This is what you get for now. We can circle back when you can count.”

This latest episode continues a pattern of controversy that has followed West in recent years. What began as provocative statements has evolved into a series of public incidents that have cost him brand deals, industry support, and now, live appearances.

While neither Coupang Play nor Interpark expanded on future plans, their swift action reflects growing public pressure and a shrinking tolerance for the kind of inflammatory behavior that once only sparked headlines and now, increasingly, leads to consequences.
