During a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, rapper Megan Thee Stallion shared a story that left both artists (and the audience) laughing. The Houston rapper recalled an incident from 2021, when she attended Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda fashion show in Venice, Italy, and was repeatedly mistaken for the show’s star performer, Jennifer Hudson.
“Remember that time we was in Italy for the Dolce thing?” Megan asked Hudson. “Jennifer’s security kept snatchin’ me up! They was like, ‘C’mon, we gotta move, we gotta move.’ I’m like, ‘I’m not with you! It’s not me, I promise! But I’ll go with you if you really want me to.’”
The story dates back to an opulent Dolce & Gabbana presentation staged against the Venetian sunset, where Hudson delivered a live performance wearing a floor-length gold gown with her hair styled in a long ponytail. Megan, who was attending the event as a guest, joked that Hudson’s team seemed determined to make her part of the entourage.
According to Megan, Hudson’s bodyguards were so insistent that they began escorting her without realizing their mistake. “Your security kept snatchin’ me up,” she said, laughing. “I was like, ‘Where is my security?’ Maybe they were getting you, I don’t know.
