More than five decades after appearing on one of the most iconic album covers in rock history, Louisa Livingstone, the mysterious figure from Black Sabbath’s 1970 debut, is using her unlikely fame to support a cause close to her heart. The former model and current electronic musician is raffling off a signed copy of the legendary Black Sabbath album, with all proceeds going to help rescue cats.

Livingstone was only a teenager when she posed for the photoshoot that became the cover of Black Sabbath’s self-titled debut album. Shot by photographer Keith “Keef” Macmillan at Mapledurham Watermill in Oxfordshire, the image has become one of the most recognizable in the history of heavy metal. Despite the album's status as a cornerstone of the genre, Livingstone has said she wasn’t especially into the music herself. “I listened to it once,” she recently told Rolling Stone, “and that was enough.”

Now, at 68, she’s re-emerged not as a metalhead, but as an animal advocate. Livingstone announced that she would be raffling off a rare autograph on a reissue of the Black Sabbath album to raise funds for Furballz, a U.K.-based cat rescue organization. The signed record includes a handwritten note identifying her as the woman from the cover, something fans have speculated about for years.

"I’ve always loved animals," she said. "It felt like a meaningful way to use something from my past to help cats in need today." The raffle is being hosted online with tickets priced affordably so that as many fans as possible can participate. The campaign has already drawn attention from Sabbath fans and animal lovers alike, many of whom are excited not only by the chance to own a signed piece of music history but to support a charitable cause.
