Post Malone Finally Performs “White Iverson” for Allen Iverson In Philly, Where It All Began

Nearly a decade after White Iverson introduced Post Malone to the world, the artist finally shared the song with the man who inspired it, on the court where his legacy began.
On May 24, during a sold-out stop at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Post Malone brought NBA icon Allen Iverson on stage for a performance of the 2015 track that launched his career. The moment marked the first time the two had publicly shared the song together, a full-circle tribute in the city where Iverson became a legend.
Captured in an Instagram Reel posted by both Malone and Iverson, the performance showed the two men embracing mid-song as thousands of fans cheered around them. “Being an inspiration is golden,” Iverson wrote afterward. “Shout out to Post Malone and shout out to Philadelphia. Ain’t nothing like Philly love.”
The gesture resonated. Released independently in early 2015, White Iverson quickly caught fire online, eventually peaking at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. It became the lead single from Malone’s debut album Stoney, earning Diamond certification and surpassing a billion streams on both Spotify and YouTube. Its success positioned Malone as one of the most unconventional breakout stars in recent hip-hop history.
For Iverson, the song was always more than a namesake, it captured the cultural reach of a player who redefined both the NBA and popular style in the early 2000s. And for Malone, performing it in front of the man it honored, in the city that embraced him, was a milestone years in the making.
The Philadelphia date is part of Post Malone’s Big Ass Stadium Tour, which runs through July before continuing overseas.
