After nearly three years out of the spotlight, Wolf Alice is back with new music. The London-based rock band has announced their fourth studio album, The Clearing, which will be released on August 29, 2025, through RCA Records. Along with the announcement, they’ve shared the first single, “Bloom Baby Bloom,” and revealed a full list of dates for their upcoming North American tour this fall.

Wolf Alice formed in 2010 and quickly became one of the UK’s most exciting alternative bands. Their debut album, My Love Is Cool (2015), introduced a sound that mixed elements of grunge, folk, and indie rock. Their second album, Visions of a Life (2017), won the Mercury Prize, and their third, Blue Weekend (2021), was praised for its emotional depth and atmospheric production.

Now, with The Clearing, the band enters a new phase. The first single, “Bloom Baby Bloom,” leans into a more theatrical, glam-rock-inspired sound. In interviews, lead singer Ellie Rowsell said the song reflects a change in how she expresses herself, moving away from using her guitar as a shield and focusing more on her voice as the main instrument. “I wanted to rethink what it means to be a frontwoman in rock,” she explained, “and break away from the usual expectations.”

The track is accompanied by a visually captivating music video that reflects this new chapter, blending performance moments with vintage aesthetics. The album itself was written in North London’s Seven Sisters and recorded in Los Angeles with Greg Kurstin, the Grammy-winning producer known for his work with Adele, Foo Fighters, and Beck.

To support the new album, the band will tour across the U.S. and Canada starting September 10 in Atlanta, GA, and ending October 13 in Los Angeles at The Wiltern. The tour includes stops in major cities such as Brooklyn, Montreal, Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver, and Austin.

Fans can sign up on the band’s website (wolfalice.co.uk) to access pre-sale tickets 48 hours before they go on general sale.
