A man in his forties has died following a fall at Wembley Stadium during an Oasis concert on Saturday night, prompting an investigation by London authorities and expressions of shock and condolences from the band and venue.

Emergency services were called to the stadium at approximately 10:19 p.m. on July 26, where they discovered a man with injuries consistent with a fall. Despite efforts by paramedics at the scene, the individual was pronounced dead shortly afterward. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the man’s next of kin have been notified, though his name has not been released to the public.

In a statement issued Sunday, Oasis said, “We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”

The incident took place during the fourth of five sold-out performances the recently reunited band is holding at Wembley as part of its highly anticipated return to live touring. While details remain under investigation, early unconfirmed reports from attendees suggest the man may have fallen from an upper tier of the stadium, possibly after slipping on or near a railing. Bristol Live cited social media posts indicating that the man was in the top section of the stadium before the fall occurred, though these accounts have not been verified by officials.

The Metropolitan Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have recorded video footage of the incident or observed what happened. “We are asking anyone who was in the vicinity at the time and has any relevant information, or who may have filmed the incident, to please contact us,” a spokesperson said.

Wembley Stadium also released a statement, confirming that police and medical teams responded immediately to the incident. “Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died,” the statement read. “Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.”

The stadium emphasized that safety remains a top priority, though it has not provided additional details on whether any changes would be made to the venue’s current safety procedures. The Health and Safety Executive has been notified, and an internal review is reportedly underway.

Despite the tragedy, Sunday’s concert - the fifth and final show in the band’s Wembley series, proceeded as planned. Representatives from both Wembley and Oasis indicated that the decision was made in consultation with authorities and out of respect for ticket-holding fans, many of whom had traveled from across the UK and abroad.

The concert series at Wembley marks a significant moment for Oasis, whose reunion after years of estrangement between founding members Liam and Noel Gallagher has drawn international media attention. The band has not commented further on whether the incident will affect future dates on their reunion tour.

As investigations continue, the focus remains on identifying the cause of the fall and determining whether safety protocols were followed or if additional measures are needed. Fans and the broader music community have expressed condolences online, turning what was intended as a celebratory return to the stage into a night marked by tragedy.
