Tom Cruise Attends Oasis Reunion Show in London Despite Past Tensions With the Gallagher Brothers

Actor Tom Cruise made a surprise appearance at Wembley Stadium on July 25 to attend one of the most anticipated concerts of the year: the reunion show of legendary Britpop band Oasis. Cruise was spotted in the crowd, marking a notable intersection between Hollywood stardom and U.K. rock royalty, especially given the band’s long-documented and often combative stance toward the actor.
Though Cruise kept a low profile during the show, his presence was confirmed by DJ and producer Goldie, who shared a video from the event with Cruise visible in the background. Goldie also posted a selfie alongside the actor, seemingly taken from a few rows ahead of him in the venue. While celebrity sightings at major concerts are common, Cruise’s attendance carries added intrigue due to a peculiar chapter in Oasis lore that involved both Noel and Liam Gallagher criticizing the actor by name.
In Lord Don’t Slow Me Down, the 2007 documentary chronicling Oasis’ tour, both Gallagher brothers made unfiltered remarks about Cruise. Noel, in particular, declared Cruise “a little f*cker” and dismissed his entire filmography. Liam initially backed up the sentiment before offering a partial defense of the 1988 film Cocktail, while still labeling Cruise a “bastard” and lumping him in with footballer Michael Owen in a tirade that was more candid than coherent.
Despite the pointed nature of their past comments, Cruise appeared unfazed as he joined thousands of fans at the sold-out concert. There is no indication that any interaction took place between Cruise and the band members at Wembley, and representatives for both the actor and Oasis have not commented publicly on the appearance. However, the fact that Cruise chose to attend suggests that if there were any lingering hard feelings, they have been set aside or at the very least, not strong enough to deter him from enjoying the performance.
Interestingly, this is not the first time the actor and the band have crossed paths. A 2009 tabloid report claimed that Cruise and Liam Gallagher encountered each other at a Berlin hotel and "made polite conversation." While unconfirmed, the anecdote suggests that any previous tension may have already been quietly resolved years ago.
Oasis’ reunion tour has drawn significant attention, marking the first time the full band has performed together in over a decade. The Wembley Stadium show was part of a multi-night run in London before the band continues its U.K. and Ireland tour. Following the European dates, Oasis is scheduled to bring the reunion tour to North America in late August, with additional concerts lined up across Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and South America through November.
