Liam Gallagher has made headlines once again, this time using his signature irreverence to take aim at Coldplay and the recent viral cheating scandal that erupted during one of their concerts. During a sold-out Oasis Live '25 reunion tour stop in Manchester, Gallagher addressed the crowd with a cheeky dig at Coldplay’s stage camera antics, making it clear that audience members at Oasis shows have nothing to fear when it comes to being unexpectedly broadcast to thousands.

“Do we have any lovebirds in the house? Don’t worry, we don’t got any of that Coldplay snidey f*cking camera sh*t,” Gallagher said, to loud cheers from the crowd. His comment was a direct reference to a now-viral moment that unfolded at a Coldplay concert just days earlier, where a camera intended to showcase happy couples during the “Jumbotron Song” segment instead became the catalyst for an alleged workplace scandal.

The incident occurred when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin called attention to two audience members who appeared on the venue’s big screen, only for them to react in visible discomfort and duck out of the frame. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” Martin said at the time, unaware of the chaos that would follow. As the clip circulated widely on social media, the couple in question was identified as Andy Byron, CEO of the tech company Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s Chief Human Resources Officer.

The viral video sparked immediate backlash, prompting Astronomer’s Board of Directors to release a public statement confirming that a formal investigation had been initiated. Both employees were placed on leave while the matter was reviewed. By Saturday, the company announced that Byron had resigned from his role.

The incident has become a talking point across social media, with some users criticizing the use of audience cameras at concerts altogether, while others questioned the ethics of identifying individuals based on public footage. Chris Martin addressed the situation more broadly at Coldplay’s next show at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. “We’d like to say hello to some of you in the crowd,” Martin told fans. “How we’re gonna do that is we’re gonna use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen. So please, if you haven’t done your makeup, do your makeup now.”

Gallagher, never one to shy away from controversy or colorful language, saw the moment as an opportunity for humor. "Doesn’t matter to us who you’re f*cking mingling with, or tingling with, or fingering with," he told the crowd during the Oasis set. "It’s none of our f*cking business."

While the Coldplay incident has raised questions about consent and public exposure, Gallagher’s comments leaned into the contrast between his band’s raw, old-school approach and the polished, family-friendly tone associated with bands like Coldplay.

Oasis’ Live '25 tour - celebrating the 25th anniversary of their third studio album Be Here Now, has sold out venues across the UK and Europe, marking a long-awaited reunion between Liam Gallagher and his brother Noel.
