For the first time in ten years, AC/DC are returning home. The legendary rock band has announced a national stadium tour across Australia, bringing their Power Up world tour to Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, and Brisbane in November and December 2025. The run marks AC/DC’s first full-scale Australian tour since 2015’s Rock or Bust and is set to feature rising punk-rock group Amyl and the Sniffers as special guests.

These upcoming dates form part of AC/DC’s global campaign celebrating Power Up, the band’s 2020 studio album that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It became their third U.S. chart-topper, following Black Ice (2008) and For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) (1981), and marked their 26th entry on the chart overall. The album also holds special meaning for the band, serving as a tribute to founding rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, who passed away in 2017.

Formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, AC/DC quickly emerged as one of the most important rock bands to ever come out of Australia. Albums like High Voltage, Highway to Hell, and Back in Black are now considered essential in rock history and to date, they have sold over 200 million records globally, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time.

Supporting AC/DC on this leg of the tour are Amyl and the Sniffers, one of Australia’s most acclaimed contemporary Australian rock bands. Frontwoman Amy Taylor expressed her enthusiasm on social media, calling the opportunity “the highlight of my literal life.” She reflected on the band’s long-standing admiration for AC/DC, including a 2021 performance of “Highway to Hell” during Perth Festival.

With induction into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the ARIA Hall of Fame, AC/DC’s place in music history is firmly secured. The upcoming tour reinforces their continued relevance and influence, more than 50 years after the band’s formation.
