Paul McCartney Announces 2025 ‘Got Back’ North American Tour

Paul McCartney is heading back on the road. The former Beatle has officially announced the North American leg of his Got Back 2025 tour, marking his first full U.S. tour in four years.
The 19-date run kicks off September 29 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, the first time McCartney will perform in the Coachella Valley aside from headlining the 2016 Desert Trip music festival, and wraps up with a two-night finale at Chicago’s United Center on November 24 and 25. Along the way, McCartney will visit cities across the U.S. and Canada, including a debut stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on October 7.
The tour announcement follows a cryptic teaser earlier this week and comes after McCartney’s surprise three-night residency at New York’s Bowery Ballroom in February. Those intimate shows led into his widely praised performance closing the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special, fueling speculation about a larger tour.
The Got Back 2025 tour is named after both McCartney’s 2022 tour of the same name and the Beatles’ classic “Get Back,” and serves as a continuation of the live legacy McCartney has built since returning to the stage as a solo artist in the late ’80s. Fans can expect a career-spanning setlist that draws from his time with the Beatles, Wings, and his solo catalog.
For this trek, McCartney will once again be joined by his longtime touring band: Paul “Wix” Wickens on keyboards, Brian Ray on bass and guitar, Rusty Anderson on guitar, and Abe Laboriel Jr. on drums. Also returning are the Hot City Horns, Mike Davis (trumpet), Kenji Fenton (saxophones), and Paul Burton (trombone), who have become fixtures in McCartney’s recent live shows.
General ticket sales for the Got Back tour begin Thursday, July 18, at 10 a.m. local time. Presale information and VIP packages are available on McCartney’s official website. Given the artist’s history of rapid sellouts, especially in markets he hasn’t visited in decades, if ever, early access is expected to be in high demand.
McCartney’s return to major arenas this fall adds to a touring career that has remained active and consistent over the decades. At 83, he continues to be a central figure in popular music, recognized for his extensive live performances that highlight both his catalog and musical legacy. For many, Got Back 2025 will be a rare opportunity to experience a concert by one of the most influential artists in modern music.
