Apple TV+ will remain the exclusive home of the Peanuts franchise through 2030 under a new five-year extension with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide, and Lee Mendelson Film Productions, the company announced today. The deal covers the entire Peanuts library and includes new original programming in development.

The streaming service has held exclusive rights to the classic Peanuts specials since 2020, building on a partnership that began in 2018 with original animated productions. In 2023, Apple TV+ confirmed that a new Peanuts feature film starring Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the gang was in production.

The renewal comes during the franchise’s 75th anniversary year, ensuring that some of the most celebrated titles in television history will continue for longtime fans and new generations of viewers. As part of the anniversary rollout, Apple TV+ will make three Peanuts classics available for free streaming weekends in 2025: It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (October 18–19), A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (November 15–16), and A Charlie Brown Christmas (December 13–14). These limited windows make the specials accessible to non-subscribers, while Apple TV+ members can watch them year-round.

Apple TV+ has also built a growing library of Peanuts originals, including series like Snoopy in Space, The Snoopy Show, and Camp Snoopy, as well as specials released under the Snoopy Presents banner, such as Lucy’s SchoolTo Mom (And Dad), With LoveWelcome Home, Franklin. The platform also features two Emmy-winning documentaries, Who Are You, Charlie Brown? and Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10.

The partnership has extended beyond streaming with Snoopy watch faces for Apple Watch and animated screensavers featuring Woodstock, and seasonal themes.

The new agreement ensures that Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and their friends will continue reaching audiences across generations as the franchise is entering its eighth decade.
